I developed this program together with two close friends of mine who were both fascinated with changing the perceptions and behaviors of families. It was designed to change the way students and their families participate in science both within the program and beyond.

The program provides a non-threatening venue for families to explore the importance of science and technology in our daily lives by engaging in learning activities that change their perceptions and understanding of science – making it more practical and approachable for participants of all ages.

The sessions are designed to be family learner centered where parents and children are equally teachers and learners and where moderators are there simply to help enable discovery and experimentation through process guidance and support.  Families are rarely given answers but rather given the tools needed to develop their own processes to answer questions.
